Veïnat : Experiencia de habitar cooperativo en Manuel.

Abstract

[ES] Frente a un paradigma de creciente dificultad en el acceso a la vivienda; frente a la congestión de las ciudades y sus ritmos de vida asociados; frente al paulatino olvido y goteo demográfico que sufre gran parte de nuestro medio rural; frente al convencionalismo residencial, un grupo de cooperativistas desembarca en Manuel (Castelló i les Énoves), apostando por la integración con su tejido social y la reactivación local desde cualquier perspectiva. El lugar escogido constituye un territorio de transición: entre la res construida y la res cultivada; entre el cercano discurrir del riu d¿Albaida y la playa del vestigial ferrocarril con su abandonada estación. En este escenario cargado de tensiones anisótropas, la respuesta del proyecto parte de la concienzuda lectura del carácter del entorno construido: fragmentario, diverso, espontáneo, gradual; capaz de recuperar la imprescindible simbiosis con la actividad social desarrollada en las calles. Una respuesta volcada además hacia una materialización de proximidad, en cuanto a ingredientes y técnicas se refiere, ensalzando una renovada vertiente vernácula y evitando un ruidoso impacto sobre el patrimonio ambiental futuro. Diversidad tipológica; crecimiento mutuo; continuidad contemporánea.

[EN] Facing a paradigm of increasing difficulty in access to housing. Facing the congestion of the cities and their associated paces of life. Facing the gradual forgetfulness and demographic drought that a large part of our countryside is suffering. Facing the residential conventionalism, a cooperative group lands in Manuel, with the will to integrate with its social fabric and reactivate the town. The chosen place constitutes a transitional territory: between the built and the cultivated orchards; between the nearby flow of the river d'Albaida and the vestigial railway area with its abandoned rail station. In this atmosphere full of anisotropic tensions, the response of the project starts from the conscientious reading of the character of the built surrounding: fragmentary, diverse, spontaneous. Capable of recovering the essential symbiosis with the social activity developed through the streets. A response which is aimed also towards a Km 0 materialization and techniques, encouraging a renewed vernacular commitment, and avoiding a noisy impact on the future environmental heritage. Typological diversity; mutual growth; contemporary continuity.
