Estudio histórico, tipológico y estructural del Estadio Centenario (Montevideo).

Abstract

[ES] Castellano: El fútbol es, hoy en día, uno de los deportes más importantes a nivel mundial, con una gran influencia tanto a nivel social como a nivel económico. En sus inicios, nadie esperaba que este deporte alcanzara el nivel de popularidad que ha ido consiguiendo con el tiempo, por lo que los estadios e instalaciones deportivas que se construían antaño no tenían las necesidades de los actuales y se encuentran algo desfasados. El trabajo realizado se basará en el estudio tipológico y estructural del Estadio del Centenario de Montevideo. Previo a ello, se realizará un estudio de la selección uruguaya y de la historia del fútbol en Sudamérica y cómo la importancia de este deporte influyó en la construcción del Centenario. Finalmente se analizará su estructura y tipología haciendo hincapié en los problemas que tiene actualmente y cómo solucionarlos de cara a ser un estadio apto por la FIFA para que se celebre el Mundial de 2030. Para conseguirlo se va a investigar los sistemas constructivos y estructurales viendo qué compatibilidad presentan frente a futuras mejoras, actualizaciones y ampliaciones siempre que sean respetuosas con el medio ambiente y las preexistencias.

[EN] Soccer is one of the most important sports worldwide, with a big influence not only at social, but also at economical level.

In its beginnings, no one expected this sport to reach so much popularity as it has achieved with time, so stadiums and sport facilities which built in the past did not have modern needs and, for that reason, they are nowadays old-fashioned.

The current project is based on a typological and structural analysis of the Estadio del Centenario in Montevideo. Previously, a research about Team Uruguay will be carried out, just like one about the history of football in South America, and how the importance of this sport influenced in the building of the Centenario stadium. Lastly, an analysis of its structure and typology will be carried out, emphasizing on the current problems and how to solve them so as to be a suitable stadium according to FIFA standards and be ready to host the Football World Cup in 2030. With this purpose, the constructive and structural systems will be analyzed with a special focus on the compatibility wich they might have with future renovations and extensions, always being respectful with the environment and the pre-existence.

Als seus inicis, ningú esperava que aquest esport aconseguira el nivell de popularitat que ha anat aconseguint amb el temps, pel que els estadis i instal·lacions esportives que es construïen abans no tenien les necessitats dels actuals i es troben una mica desfasats. El treball realitzat es basarà en l'estudi tipològic i estructural de l'Estadio del Centenario de Montevideo. Prèviament, es realitzarà un estudi de la selecció uruguaiana i de la història del futbol a Sud-amèrica i com la importància d'aquest esport va influir en la construcció del Centenario. Finalment s'analitzarà la seua estructura i tipologia recalcant els problemes que té actualment i com solucionar-los de cara a ser un estadi apte per la FIFA perquè es puga celebrar el Mundial de 2030. Per a aconseguir-ho s'investigaran especialment els sistemes constructius i estructurals per veure quina compatibilitat presentarien amb potencials millores, actualitzacions i ampliacions del camp que foren respectuoses amb el medi ambient i amb les preexistències.
