dc.description.abstract [EN] This study was carried out to predict the flow and turbulence in steady-state conditions in a two-stroke research engine. The engine was modelled using Computer Aided Design software and later the predictions were obtained with STAR-CCM+ Computational Fluid Dynamic software. Boundary conditions for the CFD model were obtained from experimentally data in order to get good results. A comparison of different simulations showed which of them was more accurate and which turbulent model was more suitable. The results indicated the presence of high velocity gradient together with substantial turbulence within the cylinder. es_ES
