dc.description.abstract | [EN] This work was done in close cooperation with the UKA (University Hospital Aachen), the IAM is contributing by searching an artificial material to replace the Bruch membrane and which has mechanical behavior and diffusion properties similar to it. Tensile tests have been performed comparing artificial collagen tissue and the bovine Bruch membrane. These layers will be later used in surgeries to substitute the native membrane in people who suffer from macular degeneration. Additionally, the foils serve as a basis for cells which will be rearranging the Bruch membrane. | es_ES |
