Arkhé. principio de producción y experimentación de la madera.

Abstract

[ES] Arkhé (arjé o arché) es un término griego que significa etimológicamente principio, fundamento o comienzo. Este término se utilizó por los primeros filósofos en la Antigua Grecia y significaba el elemento primordial del que está compuesto y deriva toda la realidad material. ¿Y si retomar la fabricación de madera fuera el principio de relacionarnos con el mundo de otra manera? ¿Y si derivase en una revolución industrial y forestal? ¿Y si otra tecnología diferente a la convencional fuese posible? Una tecnología que cerrase ciclos y que tuviese en cuenta la regeneración del planeta Tierra. Es por ello, que se propone como idea de proyecto la generación de un sistema industrial y forestal que introduzca nuevas formas de hacer, pensar y actuar pensando en el mundo que vivimos y los recursos existentes. Consta de tres intervenciones a distintas escalas proyectuales. La primera intervención se encuentra en tejido forestal donde no sólo se extrae la materia prima: la madera; sino que se trabaja en aras de generar bosque y realizar los cuidados pertinentes. La segunda intervención se encuentra en tejido industrial donde se cuestiona el planeamiento industrial existente. Por último, la tercera intervención es en tejido urbano donde se introduce la variante del tiempo en las ciudades: flexibilidad, montaje y desmontaje a través de la madera. Todas estas intervenciones tratan de realizar una imagen completa que demuestre la posible realización de un mundo diferente donde se cuestione lo preestablecido.

[EN] Arkhé (arjé or arché) is a Greek term that etymologically means principle, foundation or beginning. This term was used by the first philosophers in Ancient Greece and represented the primordial element from which all material reality is composed and derives. What if taking up wood manufacturing again was the beginning of relating to the world in another way? What if it led to an industrial and forestry revolution? What if another technology different from the conventional one were possible? A technology that closed cycles and took into account the regeneration of planet Earth. For this reason, the generation of an industrial and forestry system that introduces new ways of doing, thinking and acting, considering the world we live in and the existing resources, is proposed as a project idea. It consists of three interventions at different project scales. The first intervention is in the forest fabric where the raw material is extracted: wood; instead, they work to generate forest and carry out the appropriate care. The second intervention is in the industrial fabric where the existing industrial planning is questioned. Finally, the third intervention is in the urban fabric where the variant of time is introduced in cities: flexibility, assembly and disassembly through the wood. All these interventions try to make a complete image that demonstrates the possible realization of a different world where the pre-established is questioned.
