Lo que visité Antes de ayer y hoy recuerdo

Abstract

[ES] La muestra "Antes de ayer", celebrada en el Ayuntamiento Viejo, en el caso antiguo de Bétera, gira en torno al concepto del recuerdo y la importancia de mirar hacia atrás en cuanto a los referentes para la creación. La exposición, que recoge a nueve investigadores del campo de las artes, es una propuesta de Martíllopis que nos invita a mirar, ver y percibir, y en la que se propone aunar el pasado -es decir el recuerdo- como recurso creativo, para convertirlo en estética de hoy. Con ello, se quiere reivindicar la preocupación social de las generaciones de hoy y las venideras, las que viven el presente. Es decir, sin darse cuenta, por el exceso del uso de las nuevas tecnologías que proporcionan una inmediatez del ahora, sus usuarios son incapaces de mirar hacia atrás, de mirar su pasado, de recuperar la memoria histórica y menos de estudiarla. No solo podemos vivir de lo actual, necesitamos del pasado para alimentarnos, nutrimos para actualizarlo.

[EN] The exhibition "Antes de ayer", held in the Old Town Hall, in the old part of Bétera, revolves around the concept of memory and the importance of looking back in terms of references for creation. The exhibition, which brings together nine art researchers, is a proposal by Martíllopis that invites us to look, see and perceive, and propose to combine the past -that is, the memories- as a creative resource, to turn it into aesthetics today. With this, we want to vindicate the social concern of today's generations and those to come who live in the present. In other words, without realizing it, due to the excessive use of new technologies that provide the immediacy of now, its users cannot look back, look at their past, recover historical memory, and less study it. We can not live only from the current, and we need the past to feed us, we nurture it to update it.
