| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] This project is a journey through different utopias formulated throughout history. Taking Lewis Mumford’s book “The Story of Utopias” (2015) as the starting point, although not as the only source for the project, research on selected utopias have been carried out with two main objectives: on the one hand, to praise the role of architecture in the interpretation of social utopias, and on the other hand, to materialize them through an exercise of own project interpretation. The research consisted in the study and analysis of seven utopias from the architectural perspective, that is, with paper and pencil as companions of this trip, to then transform those sketches into ordered models of the city. After the analysis, a comparative synthesis has been made between utopian and existing architectures, showing the importance of utopia as a starting point for new creations. Finally, the author of this work tries to conclude by looking for the paths towards which good architecture is directed in a post-pandemic world. | es_ES |
