[EN] The architecture is present on the heroic fantasy literature, as how it tells Joseph Campbell on the second phase called "The Road of Trials" in his theory of "the monomyth" or the "Hero¿s Journey": "Once having traversed the threshold, the hero moves in a dream landscape of curiously fluid, ambiguous forms".
The aim of this TFG is the study of the city of King¿s Landing, an imagined city created by the writer George Raymond Richard Martin on his collection of books called ¿A song of Ice and Fire¿ and its final recreation made on the audiovisual piece ¿Game of Thrones¿ by the hand of the producers and directors David Benioff and Daniel Brett Weiss on HBO.
We are focusing on searching the relationship between the city on the books and the serie, and the way of making this transcription, building an imaginary city created with a mix of different architectures, real or invented ones, imported of different cultures, periods and architecture styles.
The methodology is a combination of the documental fonts of studio, of the scripts and texts of George R.R. Martin, and the work developed by the art directors and theirs own designs made to build the city, analyzing the way of building the variety of architectures and buildings and the role they play.
We make a field practice, making a tour around the cities were the serie has been filmed, analysing graphically through comparatives between the real places and its transformation or adaptation to the audiovisual piece.
In the development of this study, we provide an analysis of how King¿s Landing has been built, from the city to the elements that compose it: such as the fortifications, the streets and public place and the buildings.
As a conclusion, with this study, we could affirm if the city recreated on the serie is a direct transposition of the imagined one by George R.R. Martin or if this one is a different city reinvented by the art directors, as well as the results of the final product.
With this work we want to enlarge the knowledge of how could be an imaginary city of a book be used on a film or series. King¿s Landing and the way of using its architecture to configure

dels productors i directors David Benioff i Daniel
importades de diverses cultures, períodes i estils
