In Hybrid. Edificio híbrido en La Torre, Valencia.

Abstract

[ES] In Hybrid es un proyecto que trata de unir urbanísticamente dos parcelas colindantes, situadas en la pedanía de La Torre, creando un conjunto híbrido enfocado a desarrollar diferentes actividades extraescolares para niños de todas las edades del barrio. La Torre, pedanía situada a escasos kilómetros del centro de la ciudad de Valencia, es conocida por el proyecto inacabado de Sociópolis que produjo una división en la tipología edificatoria del barrio, quedando los edificios antiguos en la parte este de la pedanía y las grandes torres al oeste. Además, el barrio se encuentra rodeado por 4 límites viarios, lo que dificulta su crecimiento. El programa se divide en cuatro grandes bloques: residencial, comercial, deportivo y cultural. Para llevar a cabo la organización de estos bloques, se ha tenido en cuenta las características de las actividades realizadas en cada una de las partes del edificio. De esta manera se obtendrá un edificio tranquilo/silencioso, y otro denominado edificio activo. El edificio tranquilo albergará una ludoteca infantil, una mediateca y alrededor de diez viviendas, todo ello repartido en cuatro plantas (PB+3). Las viviendas ocuparán las dos plantas superiores y contarán con pequeñas terrazas. El edificio activo, aunque contará con solo dos plantas (PB+1), tendrá una longitud mayor. Albergará salas de deporte, vestuarios, una zona de recepción, espacios de estudio y trabajo, una sala polivalente para reuniones u otras actividades, que contará con una pequeña cocina y espacio de almacenamiento. Además, este bloque tendrá una extensión en el lado oeste de la parcela que albergará una zona gastronómica con diversos puestos y sus respectivas cámaras frigoríficas. Este espacio dará paso a una zona exterior con puestos de mercado tradicional y vegetación. Los locales serán independientes y permitirán abastecer a la población de la pedanía. Ambos bloques estarán conectados por dos pasarelas. Una estará cubierta y tendrá función de zona de descanso/esparcimiento. La otra será una terraza exterior que dará al Camí Reial de Madrid. En planta sótano, se situará un aparcamiento que contará con alrededor de 50 plazas. En cuanto a la estructura del edificio, será metálica. Las vigas y pilares formados por perfiles metálicos soportarán las cargas del edificio y de sus cerramientos, que serán, en gran parte, muros cortina. Además, se pretende jugar con la materialidad del conjunto para crear diferentes espacios. Zonas luminosas con materiales transparentes o espacios con mayor intimidad mediante materiales y texturas más opacos.

[EN] In Hybrid is a project that pretends to urbanistically unite two adjoining plots situated in the district of La Torre, creating a hybrid complex focused on developing different extracurricular activities for children of all ages in the neighborhood. La Torre, a district located a few kilometers from the center of the city of Valencia, is known for the unfinished Sociópolis project, which produced a division in the building typology of the neighborhood, with the old buildings remaining in the eastern part of the district and the large towers to the west. In addition, the neighborhood is surrounded by four road boundaries, which hinders its growth. The plan is divided into four large blocks: residential, commercial, sports and cultural. In order to organize these blocks, the characteristics of the activities carried out in each part of the building have been taken into account. This will result in a quiet building, and another called the active building. The quiet building will house a children's library, a media library and around ten dwellings, all spread over four floors (ground floor+3). The dwellings will occupy the two upper floors and will have small terraces. The active building, although it will have only two floors (ground floor+1), it will be longer. It will house sports rooms, changing rooms, a reception area, study and work spaces, a multi-purpose room for meetings or other activities which will have a small kitchen and storage space. In addition, this block will have an extension on the west side of the plot that will house a gastronomic area with various stalls and their respective cold rooms. This space will give way to an outdoor area with traditional market stalls and greenery. These stalls will be independent and will serve the population of the district. The two blocks will be connected by two walkways. One will be covered and will serve as a rest area. The other will be an outdoor terrace overlooking the Camí Reial de Madrid. In the basement, there will be a car park with around 50 parking spaces. As for the structure of the building, it will be made of metal. The beams and pillars formed by metallic profiles will support the loads of the building and its enclosures, which will be, to a large extent, curtain walls. In addition, the intention is to play with the materiality of the complex to create different spaces. The bright areas will be made with transparent materials and the intimate spaces will be made with more opaque materials and textures.
