Simulate a plotter controlling two DC motors using Labview

Abstract

[EN] The motivation of this project is on the one hand, the need to automate printing processes by controlling speed and instantaneous position of two DC motors. To take out the project, it has made with a program of National Instruments, LabView software. On the other hand the Department of Electronics and Electrical ISIB bought MAXON drivers and motors to develop the project. This material, although it is half cost, is designed for applications that require high performance and reliability. The system is versatile, allowing different configurations, size is small and has a high robustness. Thanks to technological advances, the use of brushed DC motors with encoders and controllers are becoming a cost effective option to provide benefits for its size/torque as its ratio torque/price.
