Abstract

[EN] From an elevated point of view, the sky and the landscape reflect on a water mirror, a porous concrete blade that fills with the winter rain and dries in the arid summer. The mortuary house is carved in stone, hiding in a shell, standing by. As the water is falling and flowing, it soaks the pores and imperfections of this material falling through the circular hole over the rugged topography. This horizontal abstraction finds a delicate balance with a vertical element, deploying on the ground and apparently floating as tensions with the slope. Water, and its changing states, is a transversal religious element, often related to purification and transformation. The horizontal slate establishes a reflection of the sky, infinity, the expectation of ascension. Facing the four quadrants north, south, east and west the square has an absent orientation thus free and unwilling, embracing all creeds in a space for reflection and communion.

[ES] Desde un punto de vista elevado, el cielo y el paisaje se reflejan en un espejo de agua, una lámina de hormigón poroso que se llena con la lluvia invernal y se seca en el árido de verano. La casa mortuoria está tallada en piedra, escondida en un caparazón, en espera. A medida que el agua cae y fluye, empapa los poros e imperfecciones de este material que cae por el orificio circular sobre la accidentada topografía. Esta abstracción horizontal encuentra un delicado equilibrio con un elemento vertical, desplegándose en el suelo y flotando, aparentemente, como en tensión con la pendiente. El agua, y sus estados cambiantes, es un elemento religioso transversal, muchas veces relacionado con la purificación y la transformación. La pizarra horizontal establece un reflejo del cielo, el infinito, la espera de la ascensión. Frente a los cuatro cuadrantes norte, sur, este y oeste la plaza tiene una orientación ausente, por lo tanto, libre e involuntaria, que abarca todos los credos en un espacio de reflexión y comunión.
