Mareas. Representación gráfica del océano.

Abstract

[ES] Mareas es un libro de artista que recoge una serie de diseños y composiciones artísticas inspiradas en el océano generadas a través de diferentes lenguajes y técnicas que ofrece el grabado calcográfico, la litografía, la serigrafía y la xilografía. La estructura del libro se compone de tres cuadernillos cosidos con puntada larga expuesta a una cubierta confeccionada con papel de alto gramaje. Todas las estampas han sido realizadas a mano. Cuenta con diez ejemplares numerados y firmados por la artista. Mareas es el resultado del proceso de aprendizaje y desarrollo llevado a cabo durante los dos últimos años, siendo una recopilación de la expresividad que aportan los cuatro métodos de reproducción múltiple mencionados anteriormente. Los pliegos que componen este libro están organizados de manera gradual desde la representación más abstracta a la más figurativa, buscando generar un orden de lectura y un viaje a través del concepto del mar.

[EN] Tides is an artist¿s book that collects a series of designs and artistic compositions inspired by the ocean generated through different languages and techniques offered by chalcographic engraving, lithography, serigraphy and xylography. The structure of the book is made up of three booklets sewn with a long stitch exposed to a cover made of heavyweight paper. All prints have been made by hand. It has ten copies numbered and signed by the artist. Tides is the result of the learning and development process carried out during the last two years, being a compilation of the expressiveness provided by the four multiple reproduction methods mentioned above. The sheets that make up this book are gradually organized from the most abstract representation to the most figurative, seeking to generate a reading order and a journey through the concept of the sea.
