Tiempo muerto.

Abstract

[ES] Tiempo muerto es un proyecto artístico desarrollado en formato de cómic, comprendido dentro del libro de artista, compuesto por un total de 15 grabados calcográficos, desarrollados en las técnicas del aguafuerte y la aguatinta, encuadernado a mano y acompañado de un breve texto que a modo de sátira comenta las imágenes. Tiempo muerto es un proyecto que tiene como objetivo crear e ilustrar un escenario de carácter post-apocalíptico, oscuro y distópico, ilustrando así un escenario futurista desolador, careciendo de un carácter reivindicativo, es puramente ilustrativo. Esta organizado por viñetas, correspondiendo cada una de estas a una matriz nueva. Por otro lado, un concepto muy presente en la obra es el concepto de road-movie, la historia se desarrolla a lo largo de un viaje, siendo este mismo el protagonista de la historia. Además, con el propósito de incluir al espectador dentro de la historia están las escenas planteadas como si las viésemos en primera persona, a falta de unas pocas donde sí aparece el protagonista, no obstante, nunca se le ve la cara. Cada página va acompañada de un breve texto de carácter humorístico para restar seriedad y otorgarle un valor cómico a la obra, utilizando además una tipografía descuidada para acompañar el aura general de la obra. Esos breves textos están comprendidos como pensamientos del protagonista. El propósito de esta obra es meramente lúdico y por entretenimiento, carece de un fondo reivindicativo, no pretende alertar al lector de lo que podría ser un futuro próximo, ya que al igual que la ciencia-ficción, es en esencia un futuro imposible.

[EN] Time out is a Project developed in a comic form, conceived within the artist¿s book, it contains 15 intaglio engravings in total, developed in etching and aquatint techniques, hand-binded and accompanied by short texts to give a satirical speech to the pictures. Time out is an artistic project that aims to create and illustrate a post-apocalyptic, dark and a dystopian scene, showing a bleak futuristic scenario, lacking a vindictive purpose, it¿s purely illustrative. It¿s organized by comic strips, each of these corresponding to a new matrix. On the other hand, concept very present in the work is the road-movie one, the story takes place along a journey, being this one the main character of the story. In addition, with the purpose of including the viewer within the story all the scenes are thought as if we saw them in person, not including a few where the main character appears, however, his face is never seen. Each page is accompanied by a short text of a humorous nature to detract from the seriousness and give a satirical value to the story, also using a sloppy typography to complement the aura of the project. These short texts are seen as thought of the main character. The purpose of this work is merely playful and for entertainment, it lacks a vindictive background, is not intended to alert the reader to how could a near future look like, like science fiction, is essentially an impossible future.
