Abstract

[ES] Cuerpos disidentes: romper con el estándar que dicta la sociedad es un proyecto artístico de carácter teórico-práctico que nace a partir de la necesidad de cuestionar los cánones de belleza hegemónicos debido al negativo impacto que sufren algunas de las personas que están fuera de semejantes prescripciones estéticas. El desarrollo de la investigación para la realización de este proyecto se orientará a conocer con mayor detalle datos asociados con la gordura y la obesidad (que son los cuerpos no normativos que tomaremos como objeto de nuestro trabajo) con el fin de poder desmentir los argumentos (como la salud y el bienestar físicos) que más comúnmente se emplean en favor de la gordofobia. Este trabajo de búsqueda, análisis y reflexión servirá como base para llevar a cabo la creación y producción de una pieza de instalación compuesta por varios elementos de carácter gráfico y escultórico. La materialización de este proyecto tiene como fin dar visibilidad a la diversidad de los cuerpos, tratando de contribuir con ello a normalizar los distintos tipos de forma física fuera de toda clase de prejuicios, así como de cualquier tipo de atribución de corte negativo. Con la realización de este Trabajo Final de Grado también buscamos expresar descontento y disconformidad en cuanto a cómo percibe la sociedad la belleza.

[EN] Dissident bodies: breaking with the standard dictated by society is an artistic project of a theoretical-practical nature that arises from the need to question the hegemonic canons of beauty due to the negative impact suffered by some of the people who are outside of such aesthetic prescription. The development of the research for the realization of this project will be orientated to know in greater detail real data associated with fatness and obesity (which are the non-normative bodies that we will take as the object of our work) in order to be able to refute the arguments (such as health and fitness) that are most commonly used in favor of fatphobia. This work of search, analysis and reflexion will serve as a base to carry out the creation and production of an installation work made up of various elements of a graphic and sculptural nature. The materialization of this project aims to give visibility to the diversity of bodies, trying to contribute to normalize the different types of physical form outside all kinds of prejudices, as well as any type of negative attribution. With the completion of this Final Degree Project I also seek to express discontent and disagreement regarding how society perceives beauty
