Los objetos que fuimos. Un ejercicio de memoria: del objeto a la pintura transitando por la fotografía.

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo consiste en un ejercicio de memoria a partir de un archivo documental de carácter fotográfico en base a diferentes objetos, en su mayoría de segunda mano, olvidados o pasados de moda. Mi propio vínculo con los objetos, que nace desde la infancia en mi cultura familiar, ha guiado su selección y agrupación en temáticas, a partir de las cuales se han elaborado tres series de obras pictóricas digitales con el objetivo de rescatarlos y reactualizarlos, trayéndolos al presente.

Una laboriosa reflexión teórica y el estudio de referentes han permitido contextualizar y dar un hilo conductor a la organización del archivo fotográfico y a la agrupación de los objetos en temáticas, hasta su final traslado-transformación mediante la pintura digital.

Las obras pictóricas presentadas tienen influencia de la ilustración y hacen uso del recurso de la descontextualización con el afán de convertir a los objetos seleccionados en protagonistas. El trabajo se completa con un catálogo que recoge las obras pictóricas junto a las fotografías del archivo fotográfico.

[EN] This work consists of a memory exercise from a photographic documentary archive based on different objects, mostly second-hand, forgotten or out of fashion. My own bond with the objects, born since childhood in my family culture, has guided their selection and grouping into themes, from which three series of digital pictorial works have been elaborated with the aim of rescuing and updating them, bringing them to the present.

A laborious theoretical reflection and the study of referents have allowed to contextualize and give a common thread to the organization of the photographic archive and the grouping of the objects in themes, until their final transfer-transformation through digital painting.

The pictorial works presented are influenced by illustration and make use of the resource of decontextualization with the aim of turning the selected objects into protagonists. The work is completed with a catalog that collects the pictorial works together with photographs from the photographic archive.
