LA ESPIRAL. Producción de un corto animado en 2D. Concept art, artes finales, intercalados y edición.

Abstract

[ES] La Espiral es un cortometraje de animación 2D realizado en equipo, que nos ha permitido explorar todas las fases que conciernen a la producción del mismo, desde la preproducción, pasando por la producción y el trabajo final de postproducción.

Nuestro cortometraje forma parte de La Espiral, un largometraje de acción real dirigido por el cineasta social Samuel Sebastián. La película cuenta la historia de Gea, una mujer que ha sufrido violencia de género que debe entregar sus hijas a su exmarido por decisión judicial. Nuestro corto toma lugar la noche anterior al día en el que Gea las debe entregar a sus hijas, donde por medio de la animación, se adentrará de manera onírica y surrealista en sus recuerdos y sentimientos. El tema principal gira en torno a la indefensión de la mujer y la pasividad de la justicia ante las situaciones de maltrato. El símbolo de la espiral, presente durante gran parte del corto, representa el agotamiento y el paso del tiempo de una manera envolvente de la cuál es difícil salir.

Dividido en roles, como trabajo de producción de animación, se aportó tanto en la realización del concept art, layout, intercalados de animación y edición final.

[EN] La Espiral is a 2D animated short film made in a team, which has allowed us to explore all the phases that concern its production, from pre-production, through production and the final post-production work.

Our short film is part of La Espiral, a live-action feature film directed by social filmmaker Samuel Sebastián. The film tells the story of Gea, a woman who has suffered gender-based violence who must hand over her daughters to her ex-husband by court order. Our short film takes place the night before the day that Gea must deliver them to her daughters, where through animation, she will delve into her memories and feelings in a dreamlike and surreal way. The main theme revolves around the helplessness of women and the passivity of justice in situations of abuse. The symbol of the spiral, present for much of the short, represents exhaustion and the passage of time in an enveloping way that is difficult to get out of.

Divided into roles, as animation production work, it contributed both in the realization of concept art, layout, animation interspersed and final editing.
