Representación zoomórfica del destino

Abstract

[ES] Basándonos en el mito griego de las Moiras hemos creado un conjunto escultórico mediante el proceso de la fundición, empleando como materiales el bronce y el latón, con el fin de representar a estas tres divinidades a través de una figuración zoomórfica, huyendo de la imagen antropomórfica que se ha dado en su representación plástica durante toda la historia. Para ello, nos hemos basado en el simbolismo literario y en la proximidad al hombre de tres aves: la cigüeña, el gorrión y el cuervo, siendo la simbología de cada una de éstas muy próxima al significado que se les otorga a las tres divinidades griegas: Cloto, Láquesis y Átropos. Así mismo, mediante la presentación del conjunto escultórico hacemos un análisis del proceso de la fundición a la cera perdida desde un punto de vista profesional, comparándolo con el proceso seguido en la asignatura de Proyectos de Fundición Artística que se imparte en la UPV.

[EN] Based on the Greek myth of the Moirai, we have created a sculptural ensemble through the casting process, using bronze and brass as materials, in order to represent these three divinities through a zoomorphic figuration, fleeing from the anthropomorphic image which has been given in its plastic representation throughout history. For this, we have based ourselves on the literary symbolism and on the proximity to man of three birds: the stork, the sparrow and the crow, the symbology of each of these being very close to the meaning given to the three Greek divinities: Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. Likewise, through the presentation of the sculptural ensemble, we analyze the lost-wax casting process from a professional point of view, comparing it with the process followed in the Artistic Casting Projects subject taught at the UPV.
