Josefa Font: Creación de una tipografía digital

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo recoge el proceso de creación de una tipografía digital, en peso en Regular y cajas alta y baja, para ámbitos digitales y físicos. Tipografía que rinde homenaje a la escritura de mi abuela, Josefa Sirera.

Las listas de la compra que Josefa escribe en su libreta, inspiran el estilo costumbrista de esta tipografía y las características de su escritura se trasladan a las florituras de algunos glifos.

Se realiza un estudio y dibujo de la fuente, y posteriormente una digitalización de la misma, mediante el programa Glyphs.

[EN] This project is about the process of creating a digital typography, in Regular weight and higher and lower case, for digital and physical environments. Typography that honours the handwriting of my grandmother, Josefa Sirera.

The shopping lists that Josefa wrote in her notebook inspire the traditional style of this typeface and the characteristics of her handwriting are transferred to the flourishes of some of the glyphs.

A study and drawing of the font is carried out, and subsequently it is digitised using the Glyphs software.
