dc.description.abstract | [ES] El objeto del trabajo es el diseño, implementación y estudio de un sistema distribuido automatizado. El sistema estará controlado por tres PLCs distintos que se coordinarán por red mediante protocolo TCP. El sistema deberá ser tolerante a fallos de operación humana. Una vez implementado se analizará el funcionamiento de las comunicaciones teniendo en cuenta su posible uso en un contexto industrial. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] Industry 4.0 has been introduced as a popular term for digitalization and manufacturing automation. In recent years, the industry's development has necessitated new management in the industrial processes. The automated processes offer multiple advantages compared to the human control of processes, as it eliminates the operator from performing multiple repetitive tasks, significantly increasing the efficiency of the processes. Traditionally a single controller used to run the entire process, which can be described as centralized control. Among the various devices in the industry, there is a need to keep the entire network connected. Consolidation of the different devices makes necessary the communication where the devices create a system built from smaller processes that can be seen as sections. Communication is then the fundamental part of keeping connected the entire industrial system. This project focuses on communication in an Industrial Automation context. Firstly, it introduces automation, which makes it possible to understand from scratch why communication is essential in the context of industrial automation and how it is used in industry. This communication works through protocols, and this document explains what these are, and which types are most commonly used today. Following the previously mentioned study, implementation is carried out in a miniaturized factory made of various devices.
