Co-roofing. Re-habitar la fachada más espontánea

Abstract

[ES] La quinta fachada, redescubierta durante los meses de confinamiento, ha abierto un nuevo horizonte urbano. Las antenas parabólicas que crecían como vegetación tecnológica, los aires acondicionados y los textiles colgados que dotaban de color y movimiento a este lienzo monocromático han dejado de ser los protagonistas del cielo de la ciudad para darle paso a sus propios habitantes. Zonas de juego, solarium, espacio de deporte, comedor, cine al aire libre¿infinitas posibilidades se abren paso en la fachada más espontánea, generando un nuevo paisaje múltiple y cambiante donde la vida vuelve a fluir. ¿Qué mejor momento para repensar el techo de nuestras ciudades que este?

El objetivo del proyecto es el diseño de un producto para las azoteas de los edificios residenciales, concretamente para los de la ciudad de Valencia, cuyo clima mediterráneo propicia un mayor disfrute del espacio exterior. Este producto responderá tanto a las necesidades estéticas como funcionales y se adaptará a los requerimientos de una sociedad cambiante y diversa gracias a un diseño modular que se amolda a diferentes tipos de usos, espacios y usuarios.

[EN] The fifth facade, rediscovered during the months of lockdown, has opened a new urban horizon. The satellite dishes that grew as technological vegetation, the air conditioners and the hanging textiles that provided color and movement to this monochrome canvas have ceased to be the protagonists of the city sky to make way for its own habitants. Play areas, solarium, sports area, dining room, open-air cinema... infinite possibilities make their way into the most spontaneous facade, generating a new multiple and changing landscape where life flows again. What better time to rethink the roof of our cities than now?

The objective of the project is the design of a product for the roofs of residential buildings, specifically for those in the city of Valencia, whose Mediterranean climate favors greater enjoyment of outdoor space. This product will respond to both aesthetic and functional needs and will adapt to the requirements of a changing and diverse society thanks to a modular design that adapts to different types of uses, spaces and users.
