Study and analysis of the efficiency of a solar collector installation in a building located on the university campus

Abstract

[ES] El proyecto consiste en el estudio de la eficiencia de una instalación de colectores solares en un edificio situado en el campus de la universidad Politechnika de Krakowska (Polonia). A través de datos previamente recogidos a lo largo de un año, los cuales han sido facilitados a través de un documento excel, se realizará un análisis de estos para obtener las diferentes conclusiones a cerca de la eficiencia actual de la instalación. Este proyecto incluirá a su vez diferentes estudios previos acerca del lugar geográfico donde se encuentra la instalación en relación con la radiación incidente y las temperaturas en la zona.

[EN] This work deal with the calculation of the efficiency of a solar collector, as well as the analysis of the results obtained, the comparison throughout the year and the use of different methods to find this efficiency. Starting from a database where the values of the necessary parameters are collected to find the efficiency over the months of March to October, the calculation of the efficiency is carried out using Excel. Thus, different graphs are obtained where the behaviour of the efficiency can be visualised throughout the months, influenced by meteorological factors. After the study, it is possible to observe how the efficiency increases from March to August and how in September it starts to decrease, due to the irradiance and the temperature of each moment.
