[EN] With this FDP (Final Degree Project) it is intended to reasonably define and plan the investments
for the improvement of the drinking water supply in the municipality of Moixent over the next
25 years.
First of all, a current analysis of the Moixent drinking water supply hydraulic network will be
carried out, and therefore, the existing problems and the possible deficiencies in the hydraulic
installations will be detected. To carry out this task, a detailed simulation model of the drinking
water network will be developed, thus revealing the critical areas of the system.
Secondly, a series of improvements will be proposed to palliate the deficiencies detected and
then, the future situation will be analyzed in order to guarantee possible increases in water
demand based on the GUP (General Urban Plan).
Finally, an economic assessment will be carried out by means of a budget that estimates the
total cost of the project, and a schedule for the execution of the proposed actions will be offered,
taking into account the priority of action in the short, medium and long term.
During this TFG the student will complete some practices to improve her knowledge in the field
of hydraulics. Some of them are the use of specific computer programs such as QGIS or EPANET,
the development of a mathematical model of a supply network and the development of a
Budget making use of the tool PRESTO.
All of that will allow the final objective of the project to be achieved: to improve the hydraulic
efficiency of the network, which will mean a reduction in losses, a greater guarantee of supply
and considerable energy savings.
