Materializaciones cyborg, más allá de lo humano. Práctica artística en torno al pensamiento posthumano, el diseño especulativo y la fabricación digital con biomateriales

Abstract

[ES] El enfoque de esta investigación teórico-practica se enmarca en las líneas de investigación "Prototipado y fabricación electrónica y digital" y "Ecología y medios". En el apartado teórico del proyecto se investiga la relación del cuerpo e identidad del sujeto posmoderno con su contexto hipertecnologizado. Se referencian formas de pensamiento y de creación críticas concienciadas con el desarrollo sostenible en respuesta a problemáticas del mundo posmoderno, poniendo en valor el poder de la estética y las representaciones de imaginarios para la especulación y posible materialización de futuros deseables. En el desarrollo práctico se lleva a cabo una producción artística que establece un equilibrio entre los procesos tecnológicos y los naturales, trabajando con materiales compostables y perecederos mediante formas de producción relacionadas con la artesanía digital, la cultura maker y haciendo uso de herramientas open source. De esta forma se crean una serie de piezas que jugando con la poética de los materiales, los medios y la forma; exploran las estéticas de la creación tecnológica, tanto física y perecedera como modulable, expandible y virtual.

[EN] The focus of this theoretical-practical research is part of the research lines "Prototyping and electronic and digital manufacturing" and "Ecology and media". In the theoretical section of the project, the relationship of the body and identity of the postmodern subject with its hyper-technological context is investigated. Forms of thought and critical creation aware of sustainable development in response to problems of the postmodern world are referenced, valuing the power of aesthetics and the representations of imaginaries for speculation and the possible materialization of desirable futures. In the practical development, an artistic production is carried out that establishes a balance between technological and natural processes, working with compostable and perishable materials through forms of production related to digital crafts, maker culture and using open source tools. Thus, a series of pieces are created that, by playing with the poetics of materials, media and form; they explore the aesthetics of technological creation, both physical and perishable and modular, expandable and virtual.
