Abstract

[EN] With the arrival of the "economic crisis" from the year 2008, a population decrease originates in the old town of Jijona prompted by the departure of a large part of the immigrant population due to the loss or difficulty in finding working conditions. adequate. This event also affects residents, especially young people who decide to leave the municipality due to lack of expectations of obtaining a permanent and stable job. Due to the premature departure of the youngest group and the population decline caused, a gradual vacancy of certain areas of the old town of Jijona is induced, appearing excessive buildings where the non-existence of permanent residents is confirmed.

The social, demographic and economic variations produced are fostering a different way of perceiving architecture within the old towns. Despite this, it is essential to point out the fundamental role played by collaboration in these municipalities, and especially in the old quarters. Collaboration is part of the communication process between all parties involved. Its mechanics consists of reaching adequate knowledge about the interests, strengths and weaknesses of the other party. Attract and convince, mutually express and detect endless signals.

The purpose to achieve collaboration is to use art as a mechanism of participation through which each of the individuals involved, through their artistic qualities, freely express and give greater importance to the work they do. Through this, they promote greater participation and involvement of other users in these areas. The interest in promoting art as a tool for social participation consists in making art in which the spectators intervene directly in the creative process, allowing them to become the artists themselves, observers and "judges" capable of passing critical judgments on the works, seeking , not only symbolize or judge the existing reality, but also generate a situation of encounter and participation creating patterns of possible sociability.

The proposed project program arises from the analysis and synthesis of the research carried out subsequently. It is about making a reasoned definition of the activities and uses, as well as the spatial needs and the linking and hierarchy of the spaces, more specifically on the old town of Jijona, through 3 plots located around the Plaça Nova.

The chosen use responds to the need to create a production center. Made up of workshops where classes in two artistic disciplines (painting and sculpture) will be taught for the population of Jijona, promoted by the young people hired for it. A gallery to exhibit the works made by neighbors and artists, creating an ephemeral community of participants seeking a sphere of interaction originated by users and their social context, rather than the configuration of an autonomous and private space. Finally, and to complete the production center, it is necessary to set up collective housing on plots independent of the main plot with the aim of housing the young people who teach classes in the program's workshops.

[ES] Con la llegada de la "crisis económica" a partir del año 2008, se origina un descenso poblacional en el casco antiguo de Jijona incitado por la marcha de gran parte de la población inmigrante a causa de la pérdida o dificultad por encontrar unas condiciones de trabajo adecuadas. Este suceso, además, incide sobre los residentes, especialmente jóvenes que deciden abandonar el municipio por escasez de expectativas por obtener un empleo permanente y estable. A causa de la salida prematura del conjunto más joven y el declive poblacional ocasionado, se induce una desocupación gradual de ciertas zonas del casco antiguo de Jijona, apareciendo excesivos edificios donde se confirma la inexistencia de residentes permanentes. Las variaciones sociales, demográficas y económicas producidas están fomentando una forma distinta de percibir la arquitectura dentro de los cascos antiguos. Pese a ello, es imprescindible señalar el papel fundamental que desarrolla la colaboración en estos municipios, y en especial en los cascos antiguos. La colaboración forma parte del proceso comunicativo entre todas las partes implicadas. Su mecánica consiste en alcanzar un conocimiento adecuado sobre los intereses, fortalezas y debilidades de la otra parte. Atraer y convencer, expresar y detectar mutuamente un sinfín de señales. El propósito para alcanzar la colaboración consiste en utilizar el arte como mecanismo de participación por medio del cual cada uno de los individuos que intervienen, mediante sus cualidades artísticas manifiestan libremente y dan mayor trascendencia al trabajo que realizan. El interés por fomentar el arte como herramienta de participación social consiste en hacer arte en el que los espectadores intervienen directamente sobre el proceso creativo permitiendo que se conviertan en los propios artistas, observadores y ¿jueces¿ capaces de impartir juicios críticos sobre los trabajos, buscando, no solo simbolizar o enjuiciar la realidad existente, sino, además, generar una situación de encuentro y participación creando patrones de sociabilidad posible. El programa proyectual que se propone surge del análisis y sintetización de la investigación llevada a cabo con posterioridad. Se trata de realizar una definición motivada de las actividades y usos, así como de las necesidades espaciales y la vinculación y jerarquización de los espacios, más concretamente sobre el casco antiguo de Jijona, a través de 3 parcelas situadas entorno a la Plaça Nova. El uso escogido responde la necesidad de crear un centro productivo. Formado por talleres donde se impartirán clases de dos disciplinas artísticas (pintura y escultura) destinadas a la población de Jijona, impulsadas por los jóvenes contratados para ello. Una galería para exponer los trabajos realizados por vecinos y artistas, creando una comunidad de participantes efímera buscando una esfera de interacciones originada por los usuarios y su contexto social, más que la configuración de un espacio autónomo y privado. Por último, y para completar el centro productivo, se precisa implantar viviendas colectivas en parcelas independientes al solar principal con el objetivo de albergar a los jóvenes que imparten las clases en los talleres del programa.
