[ES] La influencia del modo de vida del ser humano basado en la producción y el consumo de bienes genera un enorme impacto en nuestro ecosistema y el de multiplicidad de especies con las que convivimos. Las consecuencias globales del cambio climático y la responsabilidad implícita de la especie humana, temas que hoy día son irrebatibles, no se atrevían a reconocer y mucho menos a discutir hace medio siglo, quien cuestionaba los modelos expansionistas y anunciaba una tendencia al colapso frente a la naturaleza finita de recursos se le tildaba de alarmista.
Aunque sigue habiendo prácticas por todo el globo que no atienden a este nuevo contexto, son muchas las disciplinas creativas que están prestando atención al origen, proceso de extracción y de transformación de la materia que utilizan. Fruto de esta toma de conciencia se puede observar una tendencia en la arquitectura, el diseño y el arte que, motivada por necesidad, compromiso o moda, pone en valor los elementos post-consumo, las técnicas tradicionales de construcción y los acabados crudos evitando el uso de embellecedores: es común ver en primer plano elementos que antes se escondían, gestos que invitan a integrar lo extraño en nuestro imaginario. La creciente popularidad de iniciativas que hacen frente a los residuos a través de segundas vidas a materiales y objetos de diferentes naturalezas ha permitido desestigmatizar aquello que no es nuevo, en una sociedad en la que comprar en ¿El Golpecito¿ era de pobres.
El empoderamiento del usuario, como unidad de una gran masa crítica, genera compromiso y es fundamental para aumentar su carácter activo en una sociedad que pretende afrontar problemáticas globales de manera colectiva. Entorno a la arquitectura, a través de la autoconstrucción y técnicas artesanales que implican el aprovechamiento resolutivo de los recursos locales disponibles, se ha conseguido generar, ahora y a lo largo de la historia, un efecto positivo en la resolución de problemas en regiones concretas.
En palabras de Richard Sennett: ¿El artesano representa la condición específicamente humana del compromiso¿. En este sentido, la artesanía tiene mucho que decir entorno a dos conceptos hoy día en boca de todos: resiliencia y sostenibilidad. Lejos de insinuar un anacronismo y reconociendo la complejidad del contexto en el que vivimos, la neoartesanía se define con actitud mutualista e integra el uso de las nuevas tecnologías en el proceso de diseño y producción.
En una era donde las disciplinas ensimismadas carecen de sentido, existe una tendencia en la arquitectura que se aleja del solucionismo tecnológico para, por un lado, mezclarse y abordar problemáticas de manera más radical y crítica desde la arquitectura efímera, las instalaciones artísticas y la mediación social; y, por otro lado, integrando técnicas vernaculares actualizadas, prexistencias o elementos encontrados.

[EN] The influence of the human way of life based on the production and consumption of goods has an enormous impact on our ecosystem and that of the many species with which we coexist. The global consequences of climate change and the implicit responsibility of the human species, issues that are nowadays irrefutable, were not dared to be recognised, let alone discussed half a century ago, and anyone who questioned expansionist models and announced a trend towards collapse in the face of finite natural resources was branded an alarmist.
Although there are still practices all over the world that do not address this new context, many creative disciplines are paying attention to the origin, extraction and transformation process of the material they use. As a result of this awareness, we can observe a trend in architecture, design and art that, motivated by necessity, commitment or fashion, highlights post-consumer elements, traditional construction techniques and raw finishes, avoiding the use of embellishments: it is common to see in the foreground elements that were previously hidden, gestures that invite us to integrate the strange into our imaginary. The growing popularity of initiatives that deal with waste by giving second lives to materials and objects of different natures has made it possible to destigmatise that which is not new, in a society in which shopping at "El Golpecito" was for the poor.
The empowerment of the user, as a unit of a large critical mass, generates commitment and is fundamental to increase its active character in a society that aims to confront global problems collectively. Around architecture, through self-construction and craft techniques that involve the resolute use of available local resources, it has been possible to generate, now and throughout history, a positive effect on the resolution of problems in specific regions.
In the words of Richard Sennett: "The craftsman represents the specifically human condition of commitment". In this sense, craftsmanship has a lot to say about two concepts that are on everyone's lips today: resilience and sustainability. Far from insinuating an anachronism and recognising the complexity of the context in which we live, neo-craft is defined with a mutualist attitude and integrates the use of new technologies in the design and production process.
In an era where self-absorbed disciplines are meaningless, there is a trend in architecture that moves away from technological solutionism to, on the one hand, mix and approach problems in a more radical and critical way from ephemeral architecture, artistic installations and social mediation; and, on the other hand, integrating updated vernacular techniques, pre-existences or found elements.
