dc.description.abstract [EN] The main objective of this work is to contribute to the literature that analyzes TQM (total quality management) practices related to human talent management and the generation of innovation in the Higher Education Institutions. To do this, a systematic review of the literature on the subject is carried out, using the following databases Elsevier (Science Direct), Springer and Taylor & Francis. The most important findings in the literature review suggest that effective human talent management can be related to or depend on the quality practices that are implemented within the institutions. Thus, innovation is considered a mediating variable that promotes the development of skills and competencies, leadership for decision making, and management of effective staff relationships for the continuous improvement of processes and the satisfaction of internal and external customers. The conclusions of the analysis can serve as a basis for future studies on the TQM practices associated with human talent management, a determining factor in developing an institutions capacity for innovation. es_ES
