Habitando hace mil años en el lago Titicaca

Abstract

[ES] Los UROS fueron un pueblo descendiente de los primeros hombres del Ande peruano, conocedores de como habitar en las frías aguas del lago Titicaca por más de 1000 años. Quienes a través de este tiempo han ido perfeccionando la técnica de habitar, desde simples balsas con las cuales llegaron a este lugar, hasta la creación de estas islas flotantes artificiales, todas sus viviendas, muebles y todo lo que sus ojos pueden ver están hechos por ellos mismos.

Con los años producto de este habitar (un tanto aislado de las demás comunidades), incremento de su población, y otros problemas que fueron apareciendo como el turismo indiscriminado, y la codicia de otras comunidades. Han convertido a los UROS en un paraje natural con un grave peligro de pérdida de identidad. Con nuestra propuesta vamos a tratar de abarcar estos problemas, partiendo desde ubicación de equipamientos básicos, propuesta de nuevas actividades y circuitos, centros de reunión, así como medios de comunicación que permitan realizarlo; todo esto respetando su modo de habitar, poniendo en valor el lugar, protegiendo la privacidad y la vida familiar (APF), su contexto, y aprovechando puntualmente sus recursos, como de su conocimiento y tecnificación obtenidos. Proponemos también la vivienda turística ancestral y el restaurant conceptual como resultado de la interpretación de su hábitat, su cultura, tecnificación, lenguaje arquitectónico etc. Mediante las cuales pretendemos mejorar la calidad de vida, así mismo de espacios, y su relacion con el medio externo. Mejorar la interacción del núcleo de su sociedad ¿las familias¿ con un turismo respetuoso. Pretendemos dotar de estas herramientas al pueblo URO para que no dependan de ellos el crecimiento y desarrollo, y de ningún inversor extraño a ellos.

[EN] The UROS were a people descended from the first men of the Peruvian Andes, knowing how to live in the cold waters of Lake Titicaca for more than 1000 years. Who over the years have been perfecting the technique of living, from simple rafts with which they arrived at this place, to the creation of these artificial floating islands, all their homes, furniture and everything that their eyes can see are made by themselves.

Over the years, the product of this habitation (somewhat isolated from the other communities), the increase in its population, and other problems that appeared, such as indiscriminate tourism, and the greed of other communities. They have turned the UROS into a natural area with a serious risk of loss of identity. With our proposal we are going to try to cover these problems, starting from the location of basic equipment, proposal of new activities and circuits, meeting centers, as well as means of communication that allow it to be carried out; all this while respecting their way of living, valuing the place, protecting privacy and family life (APF), its context, and making timely use of its resources, as well as its knowledge and technology obtained. We also propose the ancestral tourist house and the conceptual restaurant as a result of the interpretation of its habitat, its culture, technology, architectural language, etc. Through which we intend to improve the quality of life, as well as spaces, and their relationship with the external environment. Improve the interaction of the core of their society "families" with a respectful tourism. We intend to provide the URO people with these tools so that growth and development do not depend on them, and on any foreign investor.
