Se vende. Colonizando la Calle Mayor

Abstract

[ES] En la actualidad, la Calle Mayor de Ontinyent se encuentra en un estado bastante desfavorable a causa de las diferentes intervenciones y la falta de inversión en algunos de los tramos. Además la falta de equipamientos y de espacios verdes ha hecho que muchos vecinos de Ontinyent busquen nuevas ubicaciones con más comodidades.

El proyecto propone crear un nuevo centro de vida y actividad en la zona histórica de Ontinyent, que sirva de transición entre la trama histórica y la parte más moderna de la ciudad. Para lograr esto, se propone un enfoque cooperativo entre los habitantes, el edificio y la ciudad, con un programa híbrido que incluye viviendas y otros usos. El resultado es un espacio creativo y activo que invita a los peatones a disfrutar de la experiencia de caminar por la ciudad, como punto final del recorrido de la Calle Mayor.

La estrategia principal del proyecto implica la reorganización de las dos manzanas principales situadas entre la Calle Mayor y el Rio Clariano que serán intervenidas, para coordinar la lógica geométrica del conjunto. Se planea la creación de un coworking que esté vinculado a los polígonos industriales de la ciudad para que las empresas tengan un punto de referencia en el centro del pueblo, una cooperativa de viviendas para impulsar el alquiler asequible entre los jóvenes y un espacio comercial para otorgarle a la zona los equipamientos de los que ahora mismo carece. El programa es flexible y busca recuperar la identidad del lugar y su relación con el rio y la Calle Mayor, para crear un punto de encuentro entre diferentes usuarios.

La creación de nuevos espacios públicos se organiza y gradúa en tres partes, una zona arbolada que conecta y te vincula al rio, un huerto de arboles frutales de fruto secos que genera unas alineaciones en el espacio y una plaza de carácter más duro que pueda albergar eventos de diferentes índoles. De esta forma, se pretende potenciar el flujo de actividad de acuerdo con el carácter de cada espacio.

[EN] At present, the Calle Mayor of Ontinyent is in a rather unfavourable state due to the different interventions and the lack of investment in some of the sections. In addition, the lack of facilities and green spaces has led many residents of Ontinyent to look for new locations with more amenities.

The project proposes to create a new centre of life and activity in the historic area of Ontinyent, which will serve as a transition between the historic and the more modern part of the city. To achieve this, a cooperative approach is proposed between the inhabitants, the building and the city, with a hybrid programme that includes housing and other uses. The result is a creative and active space that invites pedestrians to enjoy the experience of walking through the city, as the end point of the Main Street route.

The main strategy of the project involves the reorganisation of the two main blocks located between the Calle Mayor and the Rio Clariano that will be intervened, in order to coordinate the geometric logic of the whole. It is planned to create a coworking centre linked to the city¿s industrial parks so that companies have a point of reference in the centre of the town, a housing cooperative to promote affordable rentals for young people and a commercial space to provide the area with the facilities it currently lacks. The programme is flexible and seeks to recover the identity of the site and its relationship with the river and the Calle Mayor, to create a meeting point for different users.

The creation of new public spaces is organised and graded in three parts, a wooded area that connects and links you to the river, an orchard of nut fruit trees that generates alignments in the space and a square with a harder character that can host events of different kinds. In this way, it is intended to enhance the flow of activity in accordance with the character of each space.
