Paradisos d'immundícia

Abstract

[CA] Paradisos d´immundícia és el títol del projecte de realització d´una proposta instal·lativa, constituïda per diverses sèries d´escultures figuratives de dimensions variades i realitzades mitjançant diferents tècniques de metal·lúrgia, com la fosa, la forja artística i altres processos constructius. Mantenint com a eix temàtic els cossos i les formes de diferents animals, plantes i altres organismes que mai han sigut subjectes o temes principals en la història de l´art representatiu. Aquest projecte naix com a resposta front al col·lapse ecològic que presenciem als nostres dies. Canviar la forma en què habitem el planeta implica canviar el model de pensament antropocèntric i per a aconseguir això s´han de buscar nous cànons i noves narratives. La idea és crear unes peces escultòriques que generen una atmosfera, un moment oblidat al nostre món. Un continu de formes de vida metàl·liques que esdevenen una història no lineal sinó expansiva, sense principi ni final, el punt radicalment oposat a la figura única i central. El fet relacional, la continuïtat de la simbiosi com a nou model per a les maneres de fer, existir i habitar el planeta.

[EN] Paradises of filthiness is the title of the project for the realization of an installation proposal, made up of various series of figurative sculptures in varied dimensions and made by different metallurgical techniques, such as casting, artistic forging and other constructive processes. Maintaining as thematic axis the bodies of different animals, plants and other organisms that have never been the main subjects or main themes in the history of representational art.

This project was born as a response to the ecological collapse we are witnessing today. To change the way in which we inhabit the planet needs to change the anthropocentric model of thought and to achieve this, we have to look for new cannons and new narratives.

The idea is to create sculptural pieces that generate an atmosphere, a forgotten moment in our world. A continuum of metallic life forms that create a non-linear but expansive history, without beginning or end. That which is radically opposed to the single, central figure. The relational, the continuity of symbiosis as a new model for the ways of making, doing, existing and inhabiting the planet.
