Abstract

[ES] En base al planteamiento de resolver las cuestiones urbanas, sociales y residenciales del extremo norte del barrio del Carmen, entre las calles Lliria y Na Jordana, ubicación donde se encontraba la antigua muralla del casco antiguo de Valencia, se propone un edificio híbrido como nuevo nodo urbano. Se trata de una residencia universitaria con distintas tipologías de dormitorios y equipamientos, en la que se generan diversos espacios públicos y privados que conviven y se relacionan con el lugar preexistente y el entorno más cercano, como es el jardín del Turia y las naves colindantes entre otros. De esta manera, se pretende entender y respetar este lugar emblemático, mejorar los espacios junto a las nuevas edificaciones y crear nuevas formas de convivencia.

[EN] Based on the approach of solving the urban, social and residential issues of the northern end of the Carmen neighborhood, between Lliria and Na Jordana streets, a location where the old wall of the old town of Valencia was located, a hybrid building is proposed as a new node urban. It is a university residence with different types of bedrooms and facilities, in which various public and private spaces are generated that coexist and are related to the pre-existing place and the closest environment, such as the Turia garden and the adjoining warehouses between others. In this way, it is intended to understand and respect this emblematic place, improve the spaces next to the new buildings and create new forms of coexistence.
