Design, build and fly of a small UAV for the performance of an autonomous flight and deployment of a small package in a pre-programmed location

Abstract

[ES] El programa "Design, build and fly" consiste en el diseño y construcción de un UAV de menos de 2 metros de envergadura e inferior a los 4kg y más tarde la realización de una misión preestablecida al inicio del semestre. La primera fase es la fase de diseño, esta consta de la creación de un diseño conceptual y más tarde la elaboración de un diseño detallado. Una vez entregado y aprobado por la universidad, se diseñará un plan de producción y se dará comienzo a la fase de construcción. Tras la correcta construcción del UAV le seguirá la fase de test, que permitirá certificar la aeronavegabilidad de la aeronave. Finalmente se completará la misión, que consiste en la liberación de un paquete de 200 gramos en un punto preestablecido, siendo el vuelo realizado de forma autónoma, programado con antelación.

[EN] The "Design, build and fly" program consists of the design and construction of a UAV with a wingspan of less than 2 meters and less than 4kg and then the realization of a pre-established mission at the beginning of the semester. The first phase is the design phase, this consists of the creation of a conceptual design and later of the elaboration of a detailed design. Once delivered and approved by the university, a production plan will be designed and the construction phase will begin. After the correct construction of the UAV, the test phase will take place, certifying the airworthiness of the aircraft. Finally, the mission will be performed, which consists of the release of a 200 gram package at a pre-established point, the flight being carried out autonomously, programmed in advance.
