FoodCities, Escuela-Hotel con Huerta productiva en el eje de Serrería

Abstract

[ES] La relación entre el alimento que llega a nuestros hogares y su lugar de obtención se pierde a medida que nos introducimos en el entorno urbano. Esa conexión entre lo natural y el producto finalmente consumido se difumina porque la ciudad carece de contacto directo con el terreno productivo. El proyecto busca mitigar los efectos de esa desconexión constituyendo un eje que prolongue la huerta hacia el interior del entorno urbano, favoreciendo que esos procesos sean más visibles y cercanos. Por tanto, la reflexión del proyecto se centra por relacionar mediante la arquitectura conceptos como la gastronomía y la huerta, la docencia y el paisaje, pero, sobre todo, la importante relación entre la huerta productiva y la ciudad. A través de la intervención arquitectónica y paisajística se busca potenciar esas relaciones mediante un programa con usos principales definidos como son la huerta, la escuela de hostelería y el hotel; generando un juego funcional que compatibilice usos y trabaje como un único elemento capaz de consolidar la relación entre el consumidor urbano y la producción natural.

[EN] The relationship between the food that reaches our homes and the place where it was obtained is lost as we move into the urban environment. This connection between the natural and the product that is finally consumed is blurred because the city lacks direct contact with the productive land. The project seeks to mitigate the effects of this disconnection by creating an axis that extends the vegetable garden into the urban environment, making these processes more visible and closer. Therefore, the reflection of the project focuses on linking through architecture concepts such as gastronomy and the market garden, education and landscape, but, above all, the important relationship between the productive market garden and the city. The architectural and landscape intervention seeks to boost these relations through a programme with defined principal uses such as the market garden, the hotel and catering school and the hotel, generating a functional play that makes uses compatible and works as a single element capable of consolidating the relationship between the urban consumer and natural production.
