Centro Agroecológico y Refugio Climático en el barrio de Benimàmet

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal abordar la problemática urgente de la emergencia climática, enfocándose en la descarbonización de la arquitectura. Para lograr este objetivo, se propone un desarrollo sostenible a múltiples escalas, desde la planificación territorial y urbana hasta la construcción de elementos de manera individual. Se realiza un análisis de Benimàmet y su entorno y se proponen estrategias en torno a los tres pilares del desarrollo sostenible: preservación ambiental, crecimiento económico y bienestar social, con el fin de convertir Benimàmet en un modelo de ecobarrio. Como resultado del análisis y las estrategias planteadas, se reconoce la necesidad de crear un conjunto que responda a estos tres pilares. Se propone un espacio de encuentro, diseñado para transformar el espacio público en un entorno acogedor y agradable, donde la naturaleza se sitúa como el elemento central. Este espacio también incluye un centro agroecológico, que actúa como un nuevo acceso verde. Su objetivo es restablecer las conexiones perdidas entre lo urbano y lo agrícola, produciendo alimentos locales y fortaleciendo la identidad y singularidad del lugar, contribuyendo así al crecimiento económico. Además, se diseña el conjunto como un Refugio Climático, con la capacidad de garantizar el bienestar y la comodidad de sus habitantes en diversas condiciones climáticas. De esta manera, se dota al barrio de Benimàmet de un conjunto vivo, saludable, productivo, cuidadoso e inclusivo, que actúa como punto focal y lugar de encuentro para el ecobarrio.

[EN] The main objective of this work is to address the urgent issue of the climate emergency, focusing on the decarbonization of architecture. To achieve this goal, a sustainable development approach is proposed at multiple scales, from territorial and urban planning to the construction of individual elements. An analysis of Benimàmet and its surroundings is conducted, and strategies are proposed based on the three pillars of sustainable development: environmental preservation, economic growth, and social wellbeing, with the aim of transforming Benimàmet into a model eco-neighborhood. As a result of the analysis and the proposed strategies, the need for creating a complex that responds to these three pillars is recognized. A meeting space is proposed, designed to transform public space into a welcoming and pleasant environment, with nature at its core. This space also includes an agroecological center, serving as a new green access point. Its goal is to reestablish the lost connections between urban and agricultural areas, producing local food and strengthening the identity and uniqueness of the place, thus contributing to economic growth. Furthermore, the complex is designed as a Climate Shelter, with the ability to guarantee the wellbeing and comfort of its inhabitants in various climate conditions. In this way, the Benimàmet neighborhood is provided with a vi- brant, healthy, productive, caring, and inclusive complex that acts as a focal point and meeting place for the eco-neighborhood.
