2001-2008. Construcciones Rurales en Joanópolis

Abstract

[EN] The Joanópolis House was designed for friends who frequent the Finca Carambó, two kilometres away, where we built a barbecue area in 2002. The region is the beginning of the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range, at an altitude of 1,000 metres, on the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais. The group of houses is on the edge of the Piracaia dam, which is part of the capital's water supply system. Nearby is the neighbourhood of Lopo, the old Bandeirantes road and a stop for livestock drovers in the 19th century. The Carambó pPavilion is built on the Carambó Farm, located on the border of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, near the city of Joanópolis, at an altitude of 1000 metres in the Serra da Mantiqueira. The farm is located in a large pasture valley whose surrounding mountains are covered by a native forest. There was already a house there, built on a plateau at the intermediate level between the top and the bottom of the valley. It is a reconstruction of an old house in the Lopo neighbourhood, a 19th century mule drivers' stop, which was on the verge of being demolished.

[ES] La Casa Joanópolis se proyecta para amigos que frecuentan la Finca Carambó, a dos kilómetros de distancia, donde construimos un quincho en 2002. La región es el inicio de la Sierra de la Mantiqueira, con mil metros de altitud, en la divisa entre São Paulo y Minas Gerais. El conjunto de casas queda al margen de la represa de Piracaia, que integra el sistema de suministro de la capital. Cercano, el barrio del Lopo, antiguo camino de Bandeirantes y parada de troperos del siglo XIX. El Pabellón Carambó se construye en la Finca Carambó, ubicada en la frontera de los estados de São Paulo y Minas Gerais, cerca de la ciudad de Joanópolis ubicada a 1000 metros de altitud en la Serra da Mantiqueira. La finca se encuentra localizada en un gran valle de pastos cuyas montañas circundantes están cubiertas en su parte superior por un bosque nativo. En ella ya existía una casa, construida sobre una meseta en el nivel intermedio entre la cumbre y el fondo del valle. Se trata de una reconstrucción de un antiguo caserón del barrio de Lopo, parada de arrieros del siglo XIX, y que iba a ser demolida.
