Design of an ephemeral exhibition to experience the transition of light in Norway

Abstract

[EN] This design proposal is based on the concept of light in Norway, and to this end, an exhibition space has been created in which users can feel and experience the different lights that can be found in different scenarios. Nature itself can produce different scenarios in this Scandinavian country, whether during the winter months, which stand out for being long, hard and dark, or during the summer months, with many more hours of light, much shorter and more lively.

In conclusion, this project aims to reflect Scandinavian culture in a very elegant way through art, design and technology. Therefore, the design of this exhibition space will cease to be exclusively visual and aesthetic to become a set of immersive experiences where users will be able to experience sensations they have never experienced before.

The main objective is to bring Norwegian culture closer to those people who do not know it, showing the magnificence of these natural phenomena and scenarios that can only be seen here in Norway and reducing them to their most essential and pure form, allowing their true essence to be appreciated with total clarity and simplicity within each one of the spaces.

[ES] Esta propuesta de diseño se basa en el concepto de luz en Noruega, y para ello se ha creado un espacio expositivo en el que los usuarios puedan sentir y experimentar las diferentes luces que se pueden encontrar en los diferentes escenarios. La propia naturaleza puede producir diferentes escenarios en este país escandinavo, ya sea durante los meses de invierno, que destacan por ser largos, duros y oscuros, o durante los meses de verano, con muchas más horas de luz, mucho más cortas y vivas. En conclusión, este proyecto pretende reflejar la cultura escandinava de una manera muy elegante a través del arte, el diseño y la tecnología. Por tanto, el diseño de este espacio expositivo dejará de ser exclusivamente visual y estético para convertirse en un conjunto de experiencias inmersivas donde los usuarios podrán experimentar sensaciones que nunca antes habían experimentado. El objetivo principal es acercar la cultura noruega a aquellas personas que no la conocen, mostrando la magnificencia de estos fenómenos y escenarios naturales que sólo pueden contemplarse aquí en Noruega y reduciéndolos a su forma más esencial y pura, permitiendo así apreciar su verdadera esencia con total claridad y sencillez dentro de cada uno de los espacios.
