Centro de formación profesional. Revalorizando la entrada a Gestalgar

Abstract

[ES] Situado en la tercera periferia del área metropolitana de Valencia, Gestalgar es un municipio atravesado por el río Turia. La influencia del río y la presencia de diversas zonas planas, en contraste con la geografía mayormente montañosa y quebrada, han propiciado que el municipio tenga un carácter principalmente agrícola.

Durante las últimas décadas, la población de Gestalgar ha disminuido, en parte debido a la migración de jóvenes hacia centros urbanos de mayor tamaño o ciudades, buscando más equipamientos, servicios y oportunidades. Un ejemplo de esto es el traslado de los estudiantes de Gestalgar a institutos de poblaciones cercanas una vez que han superado la enseñanza infantil y primaria que pueden recibir en el colegio del centro urbano.

Otra característica de Gestalgar es que su población ha envejecido a lo largo de los años, superando en diez puntos porcentuales la media estatal. En cuanto al urbanismo del centro urbano, cabe destacar la existencia de una zona de características urbano-rurales en su límite sur, que se extiende desde la entrada de Gestalgar hasta el campo de fútbol municipal. Este límite difuso ha invadido la huerta en pos del crecimiento del pueblo.

Se propone construir un equipamiento educativo en la entrada del centro urbano, compuesto por dos volúmenes diferenciados pero conectados en el nivel sótano -1. El primer volumen será una residencia de estudiantes que se elevará desde el nivel de la calle, mientras que el segundo acogerá las funciones académicas correspondientes al ciclo formativo de Grado Medio en Técnico en Cocina y Gastronomía, el título de Técnico Superior en Dirección de Cocina, y el Grado en Gestión de Alojamientos Turísticos, con servicio de restaurante. Este segundo volumen descenderá desde el nivel de la calle hasta el sótano -2, estando todo el límite norte en contacto con el terreno y el resto siendo fachada y contando con una cubierta ajardinada accesible. También se incluirá una huerta productiva para abastecer las necesidades del equipamiento.

Con esta propuesta se busca ofrecer alternativas de estudio a los jóvenes de Gestalgar para que no tengan la necesidad de buscarlas fuera del municipio, atraer a jóvenes estudiantes de los municipios circundantes, revitalizar el centro urbano, poner en valor la huerta que ha sido tan importante para el desarrollo de Gestalgar, proporcionar nuevos servicios a la población del centro urbano y revalorizar la entrada a Gestalgar.

[EN] Located in the third periphery of the metropolitan area of Valencia, Gestalgar is a municipality crossed by the Turia River, whose influence and the presence of various flat areas, which stand out in the mostly mountainous and rugged geography, have led the municipality to acquire a mainly agricultural character.

During the last decades, Gestalgar has experienced a decrease in its population due, in part, to the migration of young people to larger urban centers or cities, seeking a greater number of facilities, services, and future opportunities. An example of this is the transfer of students from Gestalgar once they have completed their early childhood and primary education, which they can receive at the urban center¿s school, to the institute in nearby towns.

Another characteristic of Gestalgar is the fact that its population has also aged over the years, surpassing the national average by ten percentage points. Regarding the urbanism of the urban center, it is worth highlighting the existence of an area with urban-rural characteristics that corresponds to its southern limit, which extends from the entrance of Gestalgar to the municipal soccer field. This diffuse boundary invaded the orchard in pursuit of the town¿s growth.

It is proposed to build an educational facility at the entrance to the urban center. Two differentiated volumes but connected at basement level -1 are projected. The first of the volumes encompasses the function of student housing and is erected above street level, while the second houses the academic function composed of the intermediate vocational training cycle corresponding to the title of Technician in Cooking and Gastronomy, the title of Senior Technician in Kitchen Management, and the degree in Tourist Accommodation Management, with a restaurant service, which descends from street level to basement -2, having the entire northern boundary in contact with the ground and the rest being a facade and having an accessible garden roof. The complex also includes a productive orchard to meet established needs.

This proposal aims to offer study alternatives to young people in Gestalgar so that they do not need to seek them outside the municipality; attract young students from surrounding municipalities, revitalizing the urban center; value the orchard that has been so important for the development of Gestalgar; provide new services to the population of the urban center, and, finally, revalue the entrance to Gestalgar.
