Hotel-Centro Gastronómico en Campillo de Altobuey, Cuenca

Abstract

[EN] Spain has been facing an alarming territorial depopulation for years, where 63% of the country's municipalities have seen their population reduce while it is concentrated in the provincial capitals and coastal areas, creating a great void in the interior of the peninsula. On the other hand, our country is an important tourist destination, but although it is true that the floating population is more significant in beach areas, rural tourism has been booming in recent years, which has especially affected the rural environment, that suffers the consequences of a significant depopulation the rest of the year. We are located in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, in the province of Cuenca, where we find 'La Manchuela', a group of 29 municipalities ¿many of them in danger of depopulation¿ located in the southeast of the province. It is here where 'Campillo de Altobuey' appears, a small town of 1,262 inhabitants being the setting where we will establish the project. For this reason, with the aim of attracting population and reactivating the economy in the town, a small rural hotel and gastronomic space on the outskirts of Campillo de Altobuey is proposed as a landscape project, in a wooded and privileged area nearby that represents a point of tourist interest at any time of the year that is capable of placing Campillo in a position of recognition both locally and nationally

[ES] España se enfrenta desde hace años a un alarmante despoblamiento territorial donde el 63% de los municipios del país han visto cómo reduce su población mientras se concentra en las capitales de provincias y en las zonas costeras, generando un gran vacío en el interior peninsular. Por otra parte, nuestro país es un destino turístico importante, pero si bien es cierto que la población flotante es más significante en zonas de playa, el turismo rural se encuentra en auge en los últimos años, lo que ha afectado especialmente al medio rural, que sufre las consecuencias de una importante despoblación el resto del año. Nos ubicamos en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha, en la provincia de Cuenca, donde encontramos "La Manchuela", una agrupación de 29 municipios, muchos ellos en peligro de despoblación, situada al sureste de la provincia. Es aquí donde aparece "Campillo de Altobuey", un pequeño pueblo de 1.262 habitantes, siendo el escenario donde estableceremos el proyecto. Por ello, con el objetivo de atraer población y reactivar la economía en el pueblo, se plantea como proyecto paisajístico un pequeño hotel rural y espacio gastronómico a las fueras de Campillo de Altobuey, en una zona boscosa y privilegiada de las cercanías que suponga un punto de interés turístico en cualquier época del año que sea capaz de situar a Campillo en una posición de reconocimiento tanto local como nacional.
