Saber olvidar, saber recordar: la conjugación del presente y el pensar contra el exceso (reflexionando a partir de Marc Augé)

Abstract

[ES] El libro Los lugares del futuro: encuentro con Marc Augé, recoge diversas reflexiones sobre la producción teórica del antropólogo Marc Augé centras en su búsqueda de la relación de la sociedad contemporánea con el mundo en que vivimos, y en el concepto de No lugar. En el presente capítulo, el profesor Pérez Rodrigo teoriza sobre los conceptos de lugar/no lugar, concluyendo que lugar es hoy la urgencia de volver a darle un significado a mundo y la necesidad de volver a recuperar la memoria y el sentido de lo simbólico. Se trata de efectuar una aproximación que nos haga partícipes de la finitud, y que nos implique en aquello que nos ubica en la experiencia del aquí y del ahora, un aquí que es memoria y que es futuro, que es tiempo y disolución del tiempo. Así, frente a una realidad que requiere ser permanentemente pensada, se hace necesario retomar la palabra y recuperar el espacio de lo común y lo público del espacio. En función de este hecho, el arte, la arquitectura, el urbanismo nos ofrecen un instrumental válido para volver a habitar espacios y lugares, o sea, para retornar a lo político y para hacer factible la posibilidad de la experiencia.

[EN] The book Los lugares del futuro: encuentro con Marc Augé, gathers several reflections on the theoretical production of the anthropologist Marc Augé focused on his search for the relationship of contemporary society with the world we live in, and on the concept of Non-place. In this chapter, Professor Pérez Rodrigo theorizes on the concepts of place/non-place, concluding that place today is the urgency to give meaning to the world and the need to recover the memory and the meaning of the symbolic. It is a matter of making an approach that makes us participants of finitude, and that involves us in that which places us in the experience of the here and now, a here that is memory and that is future, that is time and dissolution of time. Thus, in the face of a reality that requires to be permanently thought, it is necessary to retake the word and recover the space of the common and the public space. In function of this fact, art, architecture and urbanism offer us a valid instrument to re-inhabit spaces and places, that is, to return to the political and to make the possibility of experience feasible.
