Centro Social en el barrio de Morvedre

Abstract

[ES] El barrio de Morvedre tiene un gran pasado histórico, la Calle Sagunto es la que unía la ciudad de Valencia con la población de Sagunto. Se trata de una zona altamente habitada y con pocos equipamientos públicos, donde la mayoría de la población es envejecida. El proyecto consiste en diseñar un Centro Social en dos manzanas que se sitúan a ambos lados de la Calle Sagunto. Este Centro Social busca atraer tanto a la población mayor como a la población joven para que puedan convivir y relacionarse en un mismo lugar. Para ello se dotará de varios equipamientos necesarios en el barrio mejorando las relaciones de estas dos manzanas y adecuándolas a los edificios existentes en la zona.

[EN] The Morvedre neighbourhood has a great historical past, Sagunto Street is the one that linked the city of Valencia with the town of Sagunto. It is a highly inhabited area with few public facilities, where the majority of the population is aged. The project consists of designing a Social Center in two blocks that are located on both sides of Sagunto Street. This Social Center seeks to attract both the older population and the young population so that they can live together and interact in the same place. Therefore, several necessary facilities will be provided in the neighbourhood, improving the relationships between these two blocks and adapting them to the existing buildings in the area.
