dc.description.abstract | [EN] An important factor in the design of concrete structures is the accurate estimation of the anchorage length, because it can determine the geometrical dimensions of structural elements such as corbels, ledegd ends and beam supported zones [1, 2, 3]. Experimental tests and theoretical investigations have pointed out that bond conditions remarkably improve in the presence of strong transverse compressions, applied perpendicularly to the bar axis [2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,11]. These radial forces are usually due to concentrated loads and reaction forces. Therefore, under these conditions, anchorage lengths are probably to be reduced. | es_ES |
