Sobre la desvinculación de la Interpretación Musical y las Ciencias Sociales en España: el presente del problema histórico

Abstract

[EN] Musical Performance in Spain is going through certain problems related to the lack of interest on the part of the population and its isolation from the university system. In 1914, a group of intellectuals related to music described a possible crisis in artistic studies in the country that shared characteristics with the current situation. Among the possible hypotheses that they considered in this regard, the one that stood out was that they blamed these problems on the profound disconnection that Spanish institutional musical studies had with theoretical knowledge and, specifically, with the social sciences. In this article, the development of these theories will be studied and an analysis will be carried out on the position occupied by the aforementioned theoretical and social-scientific knowledge in the current musical situation in Spain, in order to verify whether the aforementioned hypotheses are still valid and can provide a real approach towards shortcutting the problems of Musical Performance.

[ES] La Interpretación Musical en España atraviesa ciertas problemáticas relacionadas con el desinterés por parte de la población y su aislamiento del sistema de universidades. En 1914, un grupo de intelectuales del ámbito de la música describían una posible crisis de los estudios artísticos en el país que compartía características con la situación actual. Entre las posibles hipótesis que barajaban al respecto, destacaba aquella que culpabilizaba de tales problemas a la profunda desvinculación que tenían los estudios musicales institucionales españoles de los conocimientos teóricos y, en concreto, de las ciencias sociales. En el presente artículo se estudiará el desarrollo de esas teorías y se realizará un análisis sobre la posición que ocupan los mencionados saberes teóricos y científico-sociales en la actualidad musical de España, con el fin de comprobar si las hipótesis mencionadas siguen vigentes y pueden brindar un acercamiento real hacia el atajo de las problemáticas de la Interpretación Musical.
