La Callejuela. Casal de la Juventud en Benlloc.

Abstract

[ES] La génesis del proyecto se basa en la identificación de una parcela con un gran potencial en el pueblo de Benlloc, que experimentará un aumento significativo de población joven debido a la construcción reciente de un centro formativo aeronáutico vinculado al aeropuerto. El objetivo principal consiste en establecer conexiones entre diversos puntos de interés mediante recorridos públicos que atraviesen toda la manzana, con el fin de desarrollar un espacio donde los jóvenes puedan reunirse y crecer en su tiempo libre.

Para alcanzar este propósito, se ha concebido el Casal de la Juventud, un complejo formado por talleres diversos, espacios de estudio y lugares de reunión para la juventud local. La intervención busca ser descubierta a través de sus recorridos, desvelando su naturaleza y poniendo en contacto a los jóvenes con el pueblo a través de la callejuela que atraviesa la parcela, fomentando así la integración social y el desarrollo comunitario.

Asimismo, el proyecto tiene en cuenta el contexto rural de Benlloc, empleando materiales y técnicas constructivas tradicionales para salvaguardar la identidad y el patrimonio cultural del lugar. Se pretende integrar el nuevo espacio en la trama urbana existente, siguiendo la escala y la tipología de la arquitectura vernácula de la zona. De este modo, se aspira a conservar la esencia del lugar y crear una armonía visual y funcional entre lo nuevo y lo antiguo.

La inclusión de elementos y técnicas constructivas locales y tradicionales no solo contribuirá a la sostenibilidad ambiental del proyecto, sino que también agregará valor estético y cultural a la comunidad local. Por lo tanto, se espera que el proyecto cumpla con los objetivos de sostenibilidad y patrimonio cultural, proporcionando un espacio seguro y útil para la juventud de Benlloc.

[EN] The project's genesis is based on identifying a plot with great potential in the town of Benlloc, which will experience a significant increase in the young population due to the recent construction of an aeronautical training center linked to the airport. The main objective is to establish connections between various points of interest through public routes that cross the entire block in order to develop a space where young people can meet and grow in their free time.

To achieve this purpose, the Youth Center has been conceived, a complex formed by diverse workshops, study spaces, and meeting places for local youth. The intervention seeks to be discovered through its routes, revealing its nature and putting young people in contact with the town through the alley that crosses the plot, thus promoting social integration and community development.

Likewise, the project takes into account the rural context of Benlloc, using traditional building materials and techniques to safeguard the identity and cultural heritage of the place. The aim is to integrate the new space into the existing urban fabric, following the scale and typology of the vernacular architecture of the area. In this way, it is hoped to preserve the essence of the place and create a visual and functional harmony between the new and the old.

The inclusion of local and traditional construction elements and techniques will not only contribute to the environmental sustainability of the project but will also add aesthetic and cultural value to the local community. Therefore, it is expected that the project will meet the objectives of sustainability and cultural heritage, providing a safe and useful space for the youth of Benlloc.
