Invisible Heritage in Emptied Spain. The Landmarks of Cabrera's "Magic Kingdom"

Abstract

[EN] A large part of the territory of what is today recognized as emptied Spain coincides with historical boundaries characterized by successive and diverse cultural, social or economic phenomena that have contributed to accentuate the concentration-emptying polarization. This historical-patrimonial study focuses on the First Carlist War, a military conflict that became entrenched in Spain as a consequence of the decomposition of the Old Regime. The objective is to bring to light a heritage condemned to invisibility, but which characterizes the territories affected by the Maestrazgo war, thus allowing the emergence of new perspectives for the enhancement of these threatened territories.

[ES] Gran parte del territorio de lo que hoy se reconoce como España vaciada coincide con límites históricos caracterizados por sucesivos y diversos fenómenos culturales, sociales o económicos que han contribuido a acentuar la polarización concentración-vacío. El presente estudio histórico-patrimonial se centra en la Primera Guerra Carlista, conflicto militar que se enquista en España como consecuencia de la descomposición del Antiguo Régimen.El objetivo es sacar a la luz un patrimonio condenado a la invisibilidad, pero que caracteriza los territorios afectados por la guerra del Maestrazgo, permitiendo así la aparición de nuevas perspectivas para la puesta en valor de estos territorios amenazados.
