Abstract

[ES] El proyecto de fin de máster se enfoca en la construcción de un centro cívico y cultural para la localidad de Benlloc, un pueblo de la provincia de Castellón que se prevé experimente un aumento significativo de población debido a la llegada de nuevos estudiantes de formación aeroespacial. Con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos y fomentar el desarrollo comunitario, se ha propuesto la creación de un centro cultural que tenga como objetivo principal mejorar las relaciones sociales entre los habitantes del pueblo y sus nuevos residentes.

El centro cultural se diseñará como un espacio multifuncional que albergará una amplia variedad de actividades y servicios que favorezcan y enriquezcan el desarrollo de nuevas relaciones. Se espera que el centro se convierta en un lugar de encuentro para todos los ciudadanos, independientemente de su edad o condición. El edificio se situará en una ubicación privilegiada en el cauce del río, lo que permitirá aprovechar al máximo su entorno natural y vegetación. Se trabajará en la idea del patio como espacio clave que generará los gestos más importantes del proyecto, determinando el lenguaje y la respuesta al entorno. Estos espacios ajardinados irán dando sentido a las diferentes estancias del proyecto. Además, los patios también tienen un papel importante en la climatización del edificio, al maximizar la entrada de luz natural y mejorar la ventilación.

[EN] The master's thesis project focuses on the construction of a civic and cultural center for the town of Benlloc, a village in the province of Castellón that is expected to experience a significant increase in population due to the arrival of new aerospace training students. In order to improve the quality of life of citizens and promote community development, the creation of a cultural center has been proposed with the main objective of improving social relations between the inhabitants of the town and its new residents.

The cultural center will be designed as a multifunctional space that will house a wide variety of activities and services that promote and enrich the development of new relationships. It is expected that the center will become a meeting place for all citizens, regardless of age or condition. The building will be located in a privileged location in the riverbed, which will allow for the maximum use of its natural environment and vegetation. The idea of the courtyard as a key space that will generate the most important gestures of the project, determining the language and response to the environment, will be worked on. These landscaped spaces will give meaning to the different rooms of the project. In addition, the courtyards also play an important role in the building's air conditioning, by maximizing the entry of natural light and improving ventilation.
