Estudi i catalogació de les façanes de l'arquitectura modernista al barri del Cabanyal. Un recorregut per l'obra dels arquitectes Victor Gosálvez Gómez i Ángel Romaní Verdeguer.

Abstract

[EN] This thesis is focused on the realization of a study of the popular modernist architecture of the traditional neighborhood of Cabanyal, in Valencia, specifically in the identification and enhancement of the works of the architects Víctor Gosálvez Gómez and Ángel Romaní Verdeguer. During the elaboration, a study of the historical and cultural context of the neighborhood of Cabanyal, or as it was known years ago, "Poble Nou del Mar", and the authors of these works will be developed. For the selection of the works, the municipal historical archive will be consulted. Then, the composition of the selected facades will be analyzed, carrying out a photographic study that will allow the realization of a graphic survey to analyze in detail the design of these facades. The objective of the work is the identification and cataloging of the works of the architects Víctor Gosálvez and Ángel Romaní, which thanks to their façade design give image to the streets of the neighborhood, at the same time, it is sought to make known and give value to the popular modernist heritage through the creation of a tour of the works studied that helps to bring the architecture closer to the people and, added to the various initiatives of rehabilitation and restoration that are being carried out, curb the degradation that has characterized the streets of the neighborhood in recent decades.

[CA] El present treball de fi de grau se centra en la realització d’un estudi de l’arquitectura modernista popular del tradicional barri del Cabanyal, a València, concretament, en la identificació i posada en valor de les obres dels arquitectes Víctor Gosálvez Gómez i Angel Romaní Verdeguer. Durant l’elaboració, es desenvoluparà un estudi del context històric i cultural del barri del Cabanyal, o com es coneixia anys enrere, Poble Nou de la Mar, i dels autors d’aquestes obres. Per a la selecció de les obres, es consultarà l’arxiu històric municipal. Després, s’analitzarà la composició de les façanes seleccionades, portant a terme un estudi fotogràfic que permetrà la realització d’un alçament gràfic per tal d’analitzar amb detall el disseny dels paraments. L’objectiu del treball és la identificació i catalogació de les obres dels arquitectes Víctor Gosálvez i Angel Romaní, que gràcies al seu disseny en façana, donen imatge als carrers del barri. Alhora, es busca donar a conéixer i valorar el patrimoni modernista popular mitjançant la creació d’un recorregut per les obres estudiades que aprope l’arquitectura a la gent i, que sumat a les diverses iniciatives de rehabilitació i restauració que s’estan desenvolupant, frene la degradació que ha caracteritzat els carrers del barri en les últimes dècades.
