Estudio técnico y propuesta de intervención de la única obra de estilo impresionista de Antonio Lacasa. Diseño de un sistema de refuerzo del soporte con materiales sostenibles

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo se ha realizado un estudio a ¿Primavera¿, una obra de técnica acrílica sobre tablero contrachapado de gran formato creada a mediados del s. XX. Este cuadro se diferencia del resto de obras realistas de Antonio Lacasa por plasmar un almendro en flor de estilo Impresionista. Lacasa, fue un artista polifacético nacido en el municipio de Carcaixent, donde supuso una figura importante porque doctrinó y transmutó la relevancia del dibujo académico al natural como base fundamental. El problema principal que presenta la obra es un alabeo importante debido a que el artista quiso ponerle un refuerzo semirrígido como medida preventiva-curativa, causándole un daño intrínseco por la mala elección de los materiales, y, a su vez, extrínseco por la influencia del tiempo y su mal almacenamiento. Otros daños que presenta son: barniz oxidado, grietas, roturas y faltantes en las esquinas. Por ello, el resultado de este estudio parte de dos puntos principales: en primer lugar, histórico-artístico, se pone en valor la trayectoria artística de Lacasa y lo que significó su figura en el desarrollo del pueblo. En segundo lugar, técnico-analítico, se estudió los materiales constitutivos, con la finalidad de evaluar el estado de degradación, determinar cuáles materiales serían más compatibles, proponer un nuevo sistema de refuerzo del soporte, e incentivar intervenciones más respetuosas con el medio ambiente, teniendo en cuenta los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la Agenda 2030 por la UNESCO. Por último, se propone varias medidas de conservación preventiva para que se perpetué la obra en el tiempo.

[EN] This work is a study of "Spring", a large-format acrylic painting on plywood created in the mid-20th century. This painting differs from the rest of Antonio Lacasa's realist works in that it depicts an almond tree in blossom in the Impressionist style. Lacasa was a multifaceted artist born in the town of Carcaixent, where he was an important figure because he taught and transmuted the relevance of academic life drawing as a fundamental basis. The main problem with the work is a significant warping due to the fact that the artist wanted to put a semi-rigid reinforcement on it as a preventive-curative measure, causing intrinsic damage due to the poor choice of materials, and, in turn, extrinsic damage due to the influence of time and poor storage. Other damages are: oxidised varnish, cracks, breaks and missing corners. Therefore, the result of this study is based on two main points: firstly, historical-artistic, it highlights Lacasa's artistic career and the significance of his figure in the development of the town. Secondly, technical-analytical, the constituent materials were studied, with the aim of assessing the state of degradation, determining which materials would be more compatible, proposing a new system of reinforcement of the support, and encouraging more environmentally friendly interventions, taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda by UNESCO. Finally, several preventive conservation measures are proposed to perpetuate the work over time.
