Retóricas de lo infraleve. El polvo como material artístico

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo propone realizar una investigación teorico-práctica tomando como punto de partida una material complejo y lleno de connotaciones como es el polvo. Este elemento refleja la esencia de la destrucción, del transcurrir del tiempo y de la ruina. A su vez, se revela como un residuo indestructible, comprendido tanto en el sentido de lo que va no puede ser tragmentado y erradicado, como en el de lo que tampoco puede ser consumido y reaprovechado. Asimismo, proponemos analizar el concepto de infraleve, introducido por Marcel Duchamp en 1914, que cuestiona y postula la existencia de una energía sutil e imperceptible más alla de la capacidad visual convencional y que conecta intimamente con la poética del polvo El análisis se extenderá a obras de artistas donde el polvo es el protagonista, proporcionándonos así una comprensión más profunda de las múltiples dimensiones de dicho material. En paralelo, se llevará a cabo una producción artistica propia, utilizando el polvo para realizar tentativas de aproximación a los conceptos investigados, que desembocarán en resultados y conclusiones finales.

[EN] The present work proposes to carry out a theoretical-practical investigation taking as a starting point a complex material full of connotations such as dust. This element reflects the essence of destruction, the passing of time and ruin. At the same time, it reveals itself as an indestructible residue, understood both in the sense of what cannot be tragmented and eradicated, and in the sense of what cannot be consumed and reused. Likewise, we propose to analyze the concept of infraleve, introduced by Marcel Duchamp in 1914, which questions and postulates the existence of a subtle and imperceptible energy beyond the conventional visual capacity and which is intimately connected with the poetics of dust. The analysis will be extended to works by artists where dust is the protagonist, thus providing us with a deeper understanding of the multiple dimensions of this material. In parallel, an own artistic production will be carried out, using dust to make attempts to approach the investigated concepts, which will lead to final results and conclusions.
