Gaspar Noé y el Nuevo Extremismo Francés

Abstract

[ES] Gaspar Noé es un director franco-argentino muy controvertido en el cine actual. Sus películas han sido tildadas a menudo de "subversivas" y en ellas destaca la violencia y el tratamiento del cuerpo humano y la sexualidad. El cineasta pone ante los ojos del espectador el horror y el placer de sus personajes para que los viva en primera persona, para que los sienta también. Busca la conmoción del espectador con escenas duras de ver y oír que intentan mostrar el malestar y la tragedia social que vive Francia, donde la diversidad de clase social, géneros, procedencias y situaciones no logra convivir en paz. Explora temas como la la masculinidad, la sexualidad, el amor, la vida y la muerte, con una visión pesimista que no únicamente impacta, sino que a veces aplasta al que visiona sus películas. Este trabajo presenta un estudio sobre una selección de la filmografía de un director cinematográfico calificado de imprudente, provocador, transgresor, como uno de los más notables representantes del Nuevo Extremismo Francés, y se centrará en el análisis de sus temáticas recurrentes y su lenguaje visual y narrativo, analizando con detalle alguna de las escenas más significativas.

[EN] Gaspar Noé is a Franco-Argentine director who is very controversial in today's cinema. His films have often been branded as "subversive" and highlight violence and the treatment of the human body and sexuality. The filmmaker puts before the viewer's eyes the horror and pleasure of his characters so that they can experience them in the first person, so that they can feel them too. It seeks to move the viewer with scenes that are hard to see and hear that try to show the unrest and social tragedy that France is experiencing, where the diversity of social class, genders, origins and situations cannot coexist in peace. He explores themes such as masculinity, sexuality, love, life and death, with a pessimistic vision that not only impacts, but sometimes crushes the viewer of his films. This paper presents a study on a selection of the filmography of a film director described as reckless, provocative, transgressive, as one of the most notable representatives of the New French Extremism, and will focus on the analysis of its recurring themes and its visual and narrative language, analyzing in detail some of the most significant scenes.
