Fuego Rosa: Rebelar lo Queer, prácticas maricas subversivas a través del arte

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo final de Máster de tipología 4 pretende evidenciar la relación que existe entre la pintura y el arte como práctica artística reveladora de identidades y discursos disidentes, que a través de su ejecución es capaz de colaborar con la construcción y la elaboración de reflexiones en torno a la homoafectividad, lo vincular y la sexualidad fuera de la normatividad impuesta. El arte tiene la capacidad de revelar discursos que ayudan al artista y al espectador a expresar discursos en la búsqueda de un entendimiento y la lucha por la igualdad de derechos por la comunidad LGBTIQ+ y vencer la homo / bi / trans odio en la sociedad. Los conceptos que vertebran este trabajo son la teoría queer, el cuerpo, el retrato y el deseo, presentando 4 series de obras como parte de esta investigación: 1) Artificios y Afectos: el querer queer / 2) Mala Hierba Selfie en APP de citas gay / 3) Territorio Desolado - Práctica del Cruising / 4) cuerpo, sexo y retrato (desde una perspectiva vincular)

¿Cuál es el panorama actual en la lucha de derechos de la comunidad LGBTIQ+? La imagen tiene la facultad de cruzar la memoria a través del pasado y el presente. Nos moldeamos por nuestro entorno, los acontecimientos importantes, la ciudad en la que vivimos, nuestro pasado y presente. Forman lo que llamamos identidad. Con base en la pintura como manifiesto y evidencia que la práctica artística puede ayudarnos a generar discursos, convirtiendo al arte en un canalizador de nuestras problemáticas identitarias, potenciándolo como espacio y refugio de reflexión: repaso desde variantes históricas enlazadas con el arte. La producción artística, bibliográfica y experiencial que presentaré la he recolectado y realizado en 5 ciudades: en Valencia, España realizando las asignaturas del Máster en Producción Artística el año 2018, luego de regreso en mi taller en Santiago de Chile entre 2021 y 2023 con una pandemia y un estallido social como contexto social. También presento parte de la producción realizada en la Residencia Artística R.A.R.O en Buenos Argentina en julio de 2023 bajo el mismo concepto de investigación de este TFM. Un Erasmus en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Nápoles, Italia en 2024 otorgado por la UPV y cerrando su producción en Barcelona. Finalmente, esta producción será presentada en septiembre de 2024 en el punto de inicio, la Universitat Politécnica de Valencia, (UPV). Este TFM presenta una producción de obra inédita formada por pinturas al óleo y soportes cerámicos que analizan el desarrollo identitario de la homosexualidad con un enfoque y crítica Queer, analizando espacios de visibilización, deseo y afectividad en un panorama y contexto social de prohibición, discriminación y peligro. Las obras se caracterizan por la representación del cuerpo mediante la fotografía y luego traducidas en pinturas sobre tela y cerámicas. Palabras clave: identidad, pintura, teoría queer

[EN] This final work of the Master of Typology 4 aims to demonstrate the relationship that exists between painting and art as an artistic practice that reveals dissident identities and discourses, which through its execution is capable of collaborating with the construction and elaboration of reflections around homoaffectiveness, bonding and sexuality outside the imposed regulations.

Art has the ability to reveal discourses that help the artist and the viewer to express discourses in the search for understanding and the fight for equal rights for the LGBTIQ+ community and overcome homo / bi / trans hatred in society.

The concepts that underpin this work are queer theory, the body, portrait and desire, presenting 4 series of works as part of this research:

3) Desolate Territory - Cruising Practice / 4) body, sex and portrait (from a link perspective)

This TFM contains part of my artistic production carried out between 2018 and 2024, contextualizing and making a historical review from the criminalization of homosexuality and then the commemoration of the first LGBT demonstration in Chile, my geographical space of birth, with the purpose of analyze the sociopolitical variants that precede me in the fight for community rights and sexual dissidence. These references and testimonies allow me to situate the context through the work of other queer activists as references.

What is the current panorama in the fight for rights of the LGBTIQ+ community? The image has the power to cross memory through the past and the present. We are shaped by our environment, important events, the city we live in, our past and present. They form what we call identity.

Based on painting as a manifesto and evidence that artistic practice can help us generate discourses, turning art into a channel for our identity problems, enhancing it as a space and refuge for reflection: review from historical variants linked to art.

I have collected and carried out the artistic, bibliographic and experiential production that I will present in 5 cities: in Valencia, Spain, doing the subjects of the Master in Artistic Production in 2018, then back in my workshop in Santiago de Chile between 2021 and 2023 with a pandemic and a social outbreak as a social context.

I also present part of the production carried out at the R.A.R.O Artistic Residency in Buenos Argentina in July 2023 under the same research concept of this TFM. An Erasmus at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, Italy in 2024 awarded by the UPV and closing its production in Barcelona. Finally, this production will be presented in September 2024 at the starting point, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, (UPV).

This TFM presents a production of unpublished work made up of oil paintings and ceramic supports that analyze the identity development of homosexuality with a Queer approach and criticism, analyzing spaces of visibility, desire and affectivity in a panorama and social context of prohibition, discrimination and danger. The works are characterized by the representation of the body through photography and then translated into paintings on fabric and ceramics.
