Estudio de los albergues del "Camino inglés" del Camino de Santiago de Compostela

[ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es investigar sobre los albergues que conforman la ruta del Camino Inglés del Camino de Santiago; el contexto histórico, las tipologías existentes y su implantación en el lugar. En primer lugar, se ha contextualizado la historia del Camino de Santiago, centrándose a su vez en el Camino Inglés y su procedencia; y, por otro lado, el origen de los albergues. A continuación, se ha desarrollado un estudio territorial del Camino Inglés, concretando la ubicación de los alojamientos a estudiar. Como tercera parte, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio de estos a través de distintos parámetros, con la finalidad de analizar las diferentes tipologías arquitectónicas, las funciones a las que dan solución y su relación con el entorno; con objetivo de comprobar cómo los diferentes albergues dan respuesta a una misma necesidad. Por último, se ha realizado una conclusión donde se recogen una serie de pasos a tener en cuenta para proyectar un nuevo albergue dentro del Camino Inglés, para que cumpla de manera óptima con sus funciones dentro de su enclave.

[EN] The objective of this project is to investigate the shelters that constitute the route of the English Way along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela; their historical framework, the existing typologies and their implantation in the place.

The history of the Camino de Santiago has been contextualized, focusing on the English Way and its origin; as well as the emergence of these shelters. Subsequently, a territorial study of the English Way has been developed, specifying the location of the lodgings to be studied. As a third part, a multi-parametric study has been carried for identifying the different architectural typologies, the functions to which they give solution and their relationship with their surroundings, with the aim of determining how the different shelters respond to the same need.

Finally, a conclusion has been made, where a series of steps to be taken into account for the design of a new inn located on the English Way will be collected, in order to optimally fulfill its functions within its enclave.
